TELL THE OPTOMETRIST TO CALL BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"The old adage, "Ignorance is bliss," is more true than anything. I have come to believe that time is a construct, as is sex and gender (and there is more I won't go into at the moment), which means that the world I live in is paradoxical to my conclusions about it. "

why is it that the recent headlines in the onion about the war do not seem all that outrageous?

“After telling a bunch of different stories about why they fired the U.S. attorneys, the Bush administration is not entitled to the benefit of the doubt,” said Senator Harry Reid of Nevada, the majority leader. “Congress and the American people deserve a straight answer. If Karl Rove plans to tell the truth, he has nothing to fear from being under oath like any other witness.”

" Part of the original lure of Starbucks was that its arrival bestowed a certain cultural significance on one's town or neighborhood. No longer. When a chain becomes of every place, it's no longer of any place."
thank you to the founder of starbucks, howard schultz for bluntly acknowledging widespread homogeneity is not always a good thing.

in regards to last post...my living situation has been less than ideal. i sleep in a triple bunk bed with two other frat guys, a 12 inch wall away from a huge speaker, replete with a subwoofer that is often at full blast wednesday through saturday from bar time until 4am. with that people who think aluminum chair wrestling and ear plug penetrating screaming is a good way to end off their drunken nights. as an aside, i have one roomate who is a bona fide alcoholic and the only time he 'leaves' is when he has consumed enough and the other roomate thinks american pie three and whatever the fuck that beerfest movie is how the world works. this has clearly taken a toll on me and to combat it i have been sleeping on my friends couch, which answers the primordial sleeping need, by does solve the desire for solitude and space, both of which are essential to my existence. i am in the process of finding a sublet and if anyone knows of an empty bed somewhere...i am your man. financial compensation is an option.
